Hello and welcome

This website will tell you more about me and how I work, and about therapy in general. I hope this will help you choose the therapist that is right for you.

At a glance:

I offer both short-term and long-term therapy to adults (18 and over, individuals and relationships) looking for a safe and confidential space to increase self awareness and wellbeing, and to work towards bringing about effective change.
I am a qualified and experienced Integrative Therapist, which means I draw on a wide range of theoretical ideas and skills in my practice, which is then tailored to meet the individual needs of my clients.
Although I work with a very wide range of presenting issues, I specialise in the following areas: stress, anxiety, relationship issues, couples counselling, infertility and gender identity.
I also offer on-going professional consultative supervision for therapists and people in the caring professions, and mindful coaching for those wishing to use a more focused approach to achieving their life goals.
I have rooms in both Faversham and Herne Bay, and I also offer online therapy and supervision - Skype and/or Email.

My qualifications & accreditation

I am a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) accredited counsellor (first accredited in 1999) and I am on the BACP Register of Counsellors & Psychotherapists. BACP are the accrediting body for counsellors and psychotherapists, and as a member I abide by their code of ethics. (Read BACP’s code of ethics here) I am also a member of the British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA).

I trained at The University of East London, initially by completing a Post Graduate Certificate in Counselling (1993-95), and then following that an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy (1998).

I am also a certified Mindful Coach, integrating the practice of self-awareness mindfulness into supporting people in a more directive way to work towards achieving personal or professional goals.
